About this research study

Obesity is associated with an increased risk of developing hypertension, cardiovascular (CV) disease, obstructive sleep apnea, and many other medical conditions. Losing weight with lifestyle changes can be difficult to maintain long term, and weight-loss surgeries can present with major risks.

Velocity is conducting a clinical research study for overweight people with type 2 diabetes for an investigational medication for obesity.

Eligible participants...

Must be age 18 or older
Must have a BMI at least 27 kg/m²
Must have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes for 180 days or more
Must have previously attempted to lose weight unsuccessfully
May receive compensation for study-related time
Do not need insurance to join this study
