About this research study

Hypertriglyceridemia refers to an elevated level of triglycerides (TG) or lipids in the bloodstream. A severe elevation of triglycerides can increase a person's risk for pancreatitis. Elevations of TG may also lead to an increased risk of atherosclerotic cardiovascular (CV) events even when the LDL-C is well controlled by statin therapy.

Velocity is conducting a clinical research study for an investigational medication for severe hypertriglyceridemia.

  • Must be age 22 and older
  • Must have fasting TG levels ≥400 mg/dL (bloodwork available at no cost)
  • Must be on stable lipid modifying therapy (LMT)
  • Must NOT have Type 1 diabetes
