About this research study

Pneumococcal disease is caused by a type of bacterium that can lead to serious infections in the ears, sinuses, blood stream, lungs, or brain. This research study will test the safety of an investigational vaccine for pneumococcal disease.

Eligible participants...

Must be age 50 and older
Must NOT have previously had pneumococcal disease
Must NOT have previously received any pneumococcal vaccine
Will receive compensation for study-related time
Do not need insurance to join this study
*Will need to meet additional qualifications not listed
