About this research study

Nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) is the more serious form of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) which causes the liver to swell and become damaged. Fibrosis of the liver is a driving factor in the progression from NASH to end stage liver disease. Not all patients with steatosis will progress to NASH and there are currently no clear criteria to identify these patients. There are currently no approved medications for the treatment of NASH.

Velocity is conducting a study for an investigational NASH medication.

Eligible participants...

  • Are age 18 to 80
  • Have NASH with fibrosis
  • Have two out of four components of metabolic syndrome (obesity, dyslipidemia, elevated blood pressure, or elevated fasting glucose)
  • Meet other study criteria
  • Will receive reimbursement for study-related time
  • Do not need insurance to join this study
