About this research study

Liver cirrhosis is a late stage of liver disease in which liver tissue is permanently damaged and scarred. Scarred tissue prevents the liver from working normally which can lead to liver failure. Hepatic encephalopathy (HE) is a reversible neurological disorder that occurs in 30-45% of patients diagnosed with liver cirrhosis.

Velocity is conducting a Phase 3 clinical trial for an investigational medication intended to delay encephalopathy decompensation in patients with liver cirrhosis.
