About this research study

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a group of diseases that cause airflow blockage and breathing problems. Symptoms of COPD include coughing or wheezing, shortness of breath, trouble taking a deep breath, and excess phlegm.

Velocity is now enrolling people for a study of an investigational medication for COPD in patients with COPD who have exertional breathlessness despite treatment with mono or dual COPD maintenance therapy.

Eligible participants...

  • Must be ages 40 to 80
  • Must have a diagnosis of COPD
  • Must be a current or former smoker
  • Must be on mono or dual inhaled maintenance COPD treatment at a stable dose for the past 4 weeks
  • Must NOT have a current diagnosis of any other chronic respiratory diseases other than COPD
  • Will receive compensation for study-related time
