About this research study

Velocity is enrolling adults with COPD and cardiopulmonary risk factors, or at high risk of developing cardiopulmonary disease risk factors for a research study evaluating severe cardiac and pulmonary outcomes

This study will evaluate the effect of triple ICS/LAMA/LABA inhalers in comparison to LAMA/LABA inhalers on cardiopulmonary outcomes in participants with cardiopulmonary risk.

Eligible participants...

Must be age 40 to 80 years
Must have COPD and
- A Combination of any of the following cardiovascular disease risk factors: hypertension, diabetes mellitus, chronic kidney disease, dyslipidemia, obesity.
- High risk of cardiovascular disease
- Documented historical CT coronary artery calcification
Established CV disease (Myocardial infarction, heart failure, Peripheral arterial disease, angina pectoris…)
Must NOT have an active diagnosis of asthma, asthma-COPD, or any other chronic respiratory disease other than COPD within the past 5 years
Must not be using inhaled corticosteroids therapy
May receive compensation for study-related time
Do not need insurance to join this study
