About this research study

Velocity is enrolling adults for a research study for people with a history of adverse cardiovascular events and people at risk for first major adverse cardiovascular event. Eligible participants will receive compensation, an investigational medication or placebo at no cost, and study-related care at no cost.

Eligible participants...

Must be age 18 or older
Must have a history of major adverse cardiovascular event defined as at least 1 of the following: 30 days or more post heart attack, ischemic stroke, or successful peripheral arterial revascularization or major amputation due to atherosclerosis OR
Must have a high risk for first major adverse cardiovascular event
Must NOT have a history of homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (FH), compound heterozygous FH or double heterozygous FH
Must NOT have a planned arterial revascularization procedure.
Will receive compensation for study-related time
Do not need insurance to join this study
