Hepatic steatosis, or metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD), can be found in about 20 to 30% of the general population in Western countries. About 10% of patients with hepatic steatosis will progress to metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), formerly NASH.
Velocity is conducting a study for an investigational hepatic steatosis medication.
