Velocity's Dermatology research site in Savannah partners with Low Country Dermatology to conduct clinical trials related to skin conditions such as acne, atopic dermatitis, rosacea, and more. Low Country Dermatology specializes in the evaluation and management of a variety of conditions affecting the hair, skin, and/or nails. The practice began conducting clinical trials with Meridian Clinical Research in 2015 before being acquired by Velocity in 2022.

Located near several other medical offices and minutes from a local hospital, the site is easily accessible to thousands of patients, including those established with the practice and diverse populations. All trials conducted at the site are performed in accordance with ICH and FDA guidelines, and in compliance with GCP. The Savannah team is committed to being a resource for study participants, to providing the highest quality of patient care with compassion and kindness, and to advancing medicine through research.

    Corinne Howington, MD is the owner and physician and Low Country Dermatology, and specializes in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. Board certified in Dermatology, Dr. Howington graduated from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN with a Bachelor of Science degree. She went on to graduate from Louisiana State University Medical School in New Orleans, LA with a Doctor of Medicine degree. Dr. Howington completed her dermatology residency at Louisiana State University Medical School in New Orleans, LA. Currently, she maintains staff privileges at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, GA, and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Women’s Dermatological Society, and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery.
